PhilRights Training Modules

A major program of the institution is the provision of capabality-building sessions to basic sectors and other members of the civil society on various human rights themes.  The following training modules were designed and further improved during the various training sessions conducted by the institution.

On Integrating Peace and Human Rights in Secondary Education (P300)

This guidebook consists of eleven (11) modules that follow the ADIDS or Activity-Discussion-Input-Deepening-Synthesis format, as well as sample lesson plans prepared by the teachers.  It can be used by educators who want to infuse peace and HR into their daily lessons.

As this guidebook shows, integrating peace and human rights (HR) concepts need not disrupt the core lessons being taught. In fact, as the teacher-trainees discovered, the infusion of peace and HR into their various lessons have greatly facilitated the teaching-and-learning experience. With a little creativity, a culture of peace and human rights can be nurtured within the four walls of our classrooms.

Training on Your Rights: Modules on Monitoring Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (P200)

The modules also offer an extensive input on basic human rights and five focus ESC rights namely rights to work, food, health, housing, and education.
